She was the widow of John Elser. They were married on Feb. 26, 1908.
Mrs. Elser was born Feb. 26, 1886 at Ney, the daughter of George and Lena (Miller) Smith.
Her membership was with the Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan.
Surviving are two sons, Guy, of Evansport, and Glenn of Rt. 1, Ney; five daughters, Mrs. George (Ethel) Obenland, of Rt. 1, Sherwood, Mrs. Gail (Mildred) Kimple, Rt. 1, Edgerton, Mrs. Russell (Gladys) Carlin of Stryker, Mrs. Layton (Mary) Partee, Rt. 1, Ney, and Mrs. Harold (Freda) Lipp, Rt. 1, Defiance; 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; and one brother, Ernest Smith of Ney.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Oberlin and Ford Memorial Home, with the Rev. Carl Leach, Pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment is to be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Ney.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Saturday.
