William Kindred Beacham was a son of James Alexander Beacham/Beachum (c.1827-1865), a Confederate soldier who died in the War, and his wife Nancy Ellen O'Neal (c.1828/30-1885). I am not sure who James Alexander Beachum's parents were, but I believe he was a grandson of Alexander Beachum (c. 1763-aft. 1820) and his wife Elizabeth Shelton (c. 1774-aft. 1820). Alex and Elizabeth had 10 sons. Nancy Ellen O'Neal was a daughter of Kindred O'Neal (c.1785-1855) and his wife Culia Hayles. Nancy Ellen's sister Zillah O'Neal (1812-1882) married Hugh A. Beachum (1806-1861) and another sister Phereba O'Neal (1818-1888) married Isaiah S. Beachum (1812-1894). Hugh and Isaiah were brothers and, I believe, uncles to James Alexander.

William Kindred Beachum married Manizor Elizabeth Carpenter (1856-1910). She was, I believe, a daughter of Edmund Lilly Carpenter and his wife Martha Ann Baucom. Manizor had a cousin Mary Texanna Beachum (1858-1912), who married William's brother, Jesse Beachum (1858-1915).

William and Manizor had sixteen children. They moved from Anson County to Montgomery County and eventually went to Laurinburg, Scotland Co.

The sixteen children of William K. Beacham and Manizor Elizabeth Carpenter were: Neta Beacham (1875-1918, Mrs. Thomas Wiley Parker), Bessie Beacham (1877-1952, Mrs. Tucker), Ila Beacham (1878-1925, Mrs. Malcom John McDougald), Samuel W. Beacham (1879-?), Maymie Beacham (1881-1972, Mrs. Augustus John Dorsey), Emma Beachum (1882-1936), Hewitt Beacham (1883-1911), Cleveland Beachum (1885-1946, m. Emma Baldwin), Myrtle Beacham (1886-1916), Elizabeth Beacham (1888-1973), Willah Beacham (1889-1971, Mrs. Frances Fulton Forde), Hill Beacham (1890-1891), Lee Beacham (1892-1893), Edna Thomas Beacham (1894-1985, Mrs. Elmer Liston Bishop), Hallie Wiley Beacham (1897-1968) and Pansy Viola Beacham (1899-1976).
