Pfc Kevin C. Thomson of Reno, Nevada graduated from Wooster High School and joined the United States Army in April of 2008. Though he had only been serving in the military for less than two years, he loved what he was doing. His awards and Decorations include, the Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge. Kevin died at age 22 in Kamdesh, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his contingency outpost with small arms, rocket-propelled grenade and indirect fires.
