Clarence C. Grams, 92, Brainerd, passed away at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. He was born June 2, 1918, in Buffalo, Minn. to Charles and Alice (Roloff) Grams. He married Cecelia Barten on Sept. 28, 1940, in Onamia, Minn. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Clarence had many jobs including farming, mining, and custodian at Potlatch where he retired from in 1980. He loved to garden and take grandchildren fishing. Cecelia and Clarence had been married for 69 years.
He is survived by one son, Leon (Teresa) Grams, of Nisswa; two daughters, Eileen (Robert) Springer, of Breezy Point, and Sharon (Dennis) Estey, of Hibbing; one sister, Gen "Jean" (Karl) Goering, of Maple Valley, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister and two brothers.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Hans Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd and one hour prior to service at church.
Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Brainerd.
