OBITUARY - Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home

Mrs. Dean Brown Alexander, 80, of the Maxey Community passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her residence after an extended illness. Dean Alexander was born on October 31, 1932 in Direct, Texas a daughter of Charles Lesley and Lucy Myrtle Watson Brown. She was retired from Communications Apparatus Corporation, was a homemaker, and a member of the Baptist Church. She loved her family, cooking, the outdoors, attending garage sales, and her greatest delight was playing with her grandchildren. On January 24, 1952 in Paris she married Billy Joe Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Weldon Britt, brothers Otis, Edward, Alvin, Bud, Winford, and Kenneth. Survivors include her husband Billy Joe Alexander; children Brenda Gail Britt, Robert Craig Alexander and wife Jennifer, Billy Howard Alexander and wife Mary; grandchildren Brian Craig Alexander, Crystal Dejona Allen, Matt Logan Alexander, Cody Alexander, Brittney Alexander, Zac Farar and 4 great grandchildren; a sister Lucy Bee Cannady.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2012 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pyles Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Monday.
