Cyrus Winkler, 78
Cyrus A. Winkler, 78, of R.R. 6. Rushville, died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 1991 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
Born Aug. 2, 1912 in Rush County, he was the son of Delbert and Letha (Marshall) Winkler. He married the former Edith Shearer. She survives. He was a lifelong resident of the Arlington area. He was a retired farmer in Posey Township. He was a member of the Arlington Christian Church, where he was very active and a former Elder. He graduated from Arlington High School In 1930.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons: Norman and Jerry, both of R.R. 6, Rushville; four sisters Mrs. Frances Rucker, R.R. 1, Arlington, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Northam, Portland, Ind., Mrs. Juanlta Long, Muncle, and Mrs. Linda James, Isle of Palms, S.C.; four grandchildren: Mrs. Charles (Lurinda) Smith, Mellssa, Lia, and Adam Winkler, all of R.R. 6. Rushville and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded In death by one sister, Mrs. Wllletta Beckner.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville with Doug Lee officiating. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions can be made to the Arlington Christian Church.
