Venita Mae Basham Burch, 71, of Bowling Green died Sept. 30, 2009, in Bowling Green.

The Butler County native was born Aug. 12, 1938. She was a housewife, a mother, a devoted Christian and an inspiration to us all. She was a Baptist and had an extremely strong faith that held her family together. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo. Her smile would light up a room. She was a daughter of the late James Marion Basham and Zada Nash Basham and the wife of the late Robert Nave Burch. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gary Basham; a sister, Faye Basham; her mother-in-law, Martha Burch; and her father-in-law, James Burch Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Diane Lindsey and her husband, Lee, Bonnie Lynn Burch and her companion, Hoy Bush Sr., and Monica Dee Burch and her companion, Frankie Coomer, all of Bowling Green; four brothers, Larry Basham and his wife, Peggy, of Bowling Green, Dennis Basham and his wife, Barbara, of Brownsville and Jay Basham and his wife, Rhonda, and Lonnie Basham and his wife, Verna, all of Rineyville; five sisters, Gayle Basham, Donna Brown, and Diane Owen and her husband, Steve, all of Bowling Green, Melody Churchhill of Rineyville and Karen Wilson of Louisville; nine grandchildren, Tabatha Fox and her husband, Brian, Misty Adams and her husband, Bryan, Miranda Jones, Todd Lindsey, Amanda Prine and her husband, Jimmy, Joy Huff and her husband, Ricky, Nicki Phelps and her husband, Jeremy, Cody Coomer and Shelby Coomer; 11 great-grandchildren, CaitLynn Jones, Harlee Huckelby, Chloe Jones, Anna Phelps, Aaliyah Whittinghill, Colton Huckelby, Jeffery Huff, Emma Prine, Barrett Phelp
