William married a second time on November 18, 1870 to Nancy Williams of Anson County, N.C. Nancy is buried in the nearby Williams Cemetery.
William Hubbard "Bill" Gulledge, born about 1803, was a son of William Hood Gulledge and his wife, Lucy (maiden name unknown). William Hood Gulledge was referred to as "Hood" Gulledge in several records, to distinguish him from the other William Gulledges then in Anson County.
