Dan Klintworth 29 years 11months and 9 days died from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.Dan is survived by his parents;
Edward D. and Sarah Reagan Klintworth of Charlotte N.C.
Two Brothers; Michael D. Klintworth.
and Steven A.Klintworth all of Charlotte N.C.
Dan's wife Lorrain T. Klintworth and two daughters;
Kristy D. Klintworth and R. Cayce Klintworth
Dan was the owner opperator of Upstate Deck Builders.
The vehicle Dan was in was struck by a young man that was drunk.He was driving at speeds in excess of one hundred miles per hour.The vehicle Dan was in was struck from the rear and Dan was ejected from the vehicle and was thrown the length of a football field.He died instantly from head trauma.I had been up all night calling everywhere trying to find out what was going on.Dan had called me at about 8:30 pm on that terrible night he said that he was on his way home,there was a strange sound to his voice.I told him that I had picked up pizza because our oldest daughter kristy had a softball game that night and we said I LOVE YOU see you soon.Soon never came I waited and worried our oldest that was ten at the time was worried too. She had school and I made her go to bed.I stayed up making calls it was the next day when I recieved a phone call from the hospital,the man told me his name but not his position with the hospital he ask me if I could descibe my husband and I did, he told me that I needed to come to the hospital.The whole time I thought they just needed me to sign papers or something, I was in shock already our youngest daughter had ask for some milk and I could not get it for her.I needed someone to keep her so I called my friend and neighbor Pat. she was the supervising nurse for one of the floors at the same hospital she told me to let her call and see what she could find out.The next thing I know I saw her running to my house,when she reached the deck she said"Lorrain he's gone"I was so shocked I just kept saying No No he needs me and I have got to go.They would not let me drive My Aunt and a dear friend L.C. came and took me.when we arrived someone led us to an area I don't remember much of anything. The man I had talked with on the phone took me into a room with a window with blinds,someone on the other side raised them and there was my LIFE laid out on a stretcher.I don't remember much at all. The man I had been speaking with was the coronor for spartanburg county.My entire being changed right there I was gone there was a rush of numb pain that swallowed me up.I truly think that I have just came out of the hollow empty pit that I have been in for nearly 21 yrs.Dan was the first life I had really ever had,he taught me so much about living and being happy I miss him so much.Dan was a good man he Loved JESUS and he tried to let people see Jesus through him.He helped anyone he could he really liked helping older folks he would fix roofs floors whatever he could for little to no cost for them.I LOVED SO MANY THINGS ABOUT THE MAN HE WAS!! He was a Wonderful Daddy he had told me about a month before that, when he left this world the thing he wanted more than anything was for his children to remember him as a good Dad and they do!!! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH DAN!!
