Mrs. Mary Daisy Hamby, 81, mother of Harold Hamby who lived in Caruthersville for many years, died at Fredericktown Saturday, September 7. She was a former resident of Blytheville and had lived in Farmington for the past six years. She was the widow of Harry Hamby.
Services were held in Blytheville Monday morning with the Rev. William Wellman officiating at the funeral mass and burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery here.
She leaves four sons, Harold and Joe Hamby of Blytheville, Bill Hamby of Kennett and Jess Hamby of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Burns of Farmington; a brother, Bert Robinson of Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Teresa Moss of Los Angeles and Mrs. Grace Wisman of Cape Girardeau; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
