James D. Burke, 84, passed away at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. He was also a life member of the DAV. His family includes his wife of 60 years, Virginia; two sons, Robert Burke and Charles Burke; sister, Patricia Schwalbach; and grandson, Christopher Burke. Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements by South Brevard Funeral Home.
