Driver for Teeple dies at Portland
Richard E. Huey, 50, of 630 North Western Ave., Portland, a truck driver for Teeple Truck Lines of Decatur, died Tuesday morning at the Jay County Hospital at Portland, where he had been admitted Monday evening.
Born in Jay County May 17, 1920, he was a son of William F. and Ada Whiteman-Huey, and was married to Ruby M. McKinley April 12, 1941.
Mr. Huey, a veteran of World War 11, was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge at Portland.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Joe David Huey, with the U.S. Armed Forces at Norfolk, Va., Richard D. Huey of Fort Wayne, and Dennis G. Huey of Portland; one brother, Paul Huey of Anderson; his mother, Mrs. Ada E. Huey of Portland; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:50 p.m. Friday at the Williamson-Spencer Funeral Home at Portland, where friends may call after 12 noon Thursday.
