considered globaly to be both practical and succesful.In 1880 he opened the Ivel cycle works where he invented the Ivel safety cycle.He had a keen interest in competitive cycling taking part and winning national championships many times.His next inventions came in the late 1890s when working on motorbikes,cars and the Ivel tractor
which was exported world wide replacing the need for horses in the fields. He suddenly died of a heart attack whilst at work and was buried on November 2nd.
