He was born in Loveville, MD on September, 12, 1920. The son of the late William Charles and Annie Violet Woodburn Bowles.
Mr. Bowles is survived by his wife Mary Elsie Redmond Bowles whom he married on January 18, 1942, his children, Patricia Anne Buckler of Leonardtown, MD and James Wilmer (Bill) Bowles, Jr. of Glenelg, MD, two sisters, Margaret Guy of Leonardtown, MD, and Annie Rosa Johnson, of Landover, MD, one brother, John Richard Bowles of Clinton, MD, five grandchildren, Renee Campbell, of Leonardtown, MD , Annette Neubling Buckler, of Tampa, FL, Dr. Heather L. Bowles, of Baltimore, MD, Jennifer L. Brannon of Spring Grove, PA, and Charles J. Bowles of Glenelg, MD, six great grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call on Friday August 8, 2003 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 am at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend Rory Conley was the celebrant. Interment followed at the Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD.
Pallbearers for Mr. Bowles were his grandchildren.
