Services for Garlon D. Bennett, 52, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Bennett died Thursday in Anniston.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Bennett; a daughter, Chiree Whitaker of Bynum,; a son and his wife, Stacey and Lisa Bennett of Anniston; two stepdaughters, Michelle Newton and her husband Mike, of Birmingham, and Rhonda Best of Anniston; a brother and his wife, Quincy and Sherry of Lake Cormorant, Miss.; his mother-in-law Alice Messinea of Chicago; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Bennett, Jason Bennett, Marvin Havey, Jason Robinson, Greg Robinson, and Randy Best.

Mr. Bennett, a longtime Anniston resident, was Baptist. He was employed at United Defense. He was preceded in death by his parents, Posey and Louise Bennett; a sister, Gwendolyn Fletcher; and two stepsons, Brian Rollins and Dale Rollins.
