Sunday afternoon, Capt. William Grason and his wife, who live southwest of Cerro Gordo, drove to that place in a buggy and passed the afternoon with Mr. & Mrs Adam Heminger. Mrs. Grason was in her usual health and spirits. Yesterday afternoon arrangements were being made for her funeral. With hardly a moments warning, Mrs. Grason was called from life about 10 o'clock Sunday night. She retired as well as ever. About 10 o'clock, Capt. Grason was awakened by his wife, who wanted to be lifted up, saying she thought she was dying. Almost before he could do that much, she was dead. Heart disease took her life away.
Capt. Grason is very well known in Decatur where he has a number of friends to sympathize with him and his family.
Mrs. Grason was about 53 years old. She leaves five children: Charles and Ida who are at home, William, a farmer in Oakley township, Robert, a farmer in Iowa and Frank and Thomas, employed on the Wabash railroad.
It was only a week or two ago that Capt. Grason made arrangements to build a new $3000 residence on their farm place, southwest of Cerro Gordo, near the county line.
