Deceased Name: ROBERT GILLEY
EDEN - Robert Lashley Gilley of Alameda, California died November 4, 1995. He was a native of Eden, N.C. formerly Leaksville. The son of the late Moyer G. and Beulah Lashley Gilley. He was a former member of the First Baptist CHurch of Leaksville. He was a United States Marine having served in three wars, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was exposed to agent orange chemical that resulted in his death.

He is survived by his wife, Leonisa L. Gilley of the home; daughters, Connie G. Mayott of Sacramento, Calif., Patsy L. Gilley of Houston, Texas; son, Robert L. Gilley, Jr. of Houston, Texas; sisters, Virginia G. Hobbs of Pfafftown and Shirley G. Hill of Reidsville.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Lawson Cemetery in Eden. The service will be conducted by his brother-in-law, Rev. J. Dewey Hobbs.

Fair Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
