CHESAPEAKE - Ronnie Mae Barton, 93, passed away Thursday, 10 Sep 2009 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born May 17, 1916 in Stoneville, NC, the daughter of the late John D. and Viola Fulp Coleman. She was a former member of Great Bridge Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her three daughters, Joy High and husband Charles, Jeanette Woodall, Wanda Jordon and husband Kenneth; her nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Monday, Sept. 14, in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Thomas Hunt will officiate. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ronnie's name to your local Alzheimer's Association.
