Norma Lee Pate was born in Shelby County, Texas to John Daniel Pate and Dicey Modenia Peace, October 22, 1907 and died at her home in Heflin, Louisiana, March, 19, 1993.
Norma was the only daughter in her family of thirteen children. They are as follows: William Albert, John Alvin, Vernice Alta, Otis, Artis, Norma, Bevie Odell, James Elvie, Robert Rushing, L. Aubrey, Cealsie and Joe.
Norma's father was a Baptist Minister in Shelby County, Texas. As he traveled from church to church, Norma went with him and played the piano for lots of church services.
This whole family loved music, they played lots of different insturments and sang all the time.
Norma married Olen Daris Wilson September 7, 1925 in Shelby County, Texas. They had five daughters, Doris Bell, Margaret Dean, Patsy Ruth, Virginia Dare and Lynda Lee Wilson.
Norma, never worked outside the home, but worked very hard on the farm and at the house. She was a wonderful mother, cook and sewed lots of clothes for her family.
She was a member of Bistineau Baptist Church where she sang alto in the church choir. She taught Sunday School, worked in Vacation Bible School and loved to visit those who could not attend church. She delivered many church books to the nursing homes as she visited.

OBITUARY:
Services for Mrs. Norma Lee Wilson, 85 of Heflin, Louisiana were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 1993 at Bistineau Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Stovall and Rev. Wayne Reeves officiating. Burial was held in Bistineau Cemetery under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, La.
Mrs. Wilson died Wednesday, March 17, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen D. Wilson and a daughter, Margaret Dean Chandler.
She is survived by four daughters, Doris W. Logan, Patsy W. Paul, Virginia W. Bailey and Lynda W. Hulion all of Heflin, La.; two brothers, Aubrey Pate of Gladewater, Tx. and Bevie Pate of Heflin; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
