Effie Marie Guffey, 87, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009.
She was born March 20, 1922, in Monticello, Ky., to the late Bart and Eliza (Phillips) Harwick.
Effie worked at Ritter Healthcare in housekeeping for a number of years.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Toni Blocher, Wade and Cindy Guffey and Dennis Guffey; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mae and Bill Yeagy, Lisa and Bruce Fisher and Tammie Collins; a sister, Luzadie Hicks; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
