She moved to Ohio in 1853 remaining there until 1860 when she moved to Macon county, Illinois. Her husband departed this life August, 1860, leaving her a widow nearly thirty-two years. She has been a consistent member of the Presbyterian church since girlhood and has lived a noble Christian life. She fell asleep June 10, 1895, aged 80 years, 5 months and 8 days, leaving four children, eight grand-children, two sisters, two brothers and a number of other relatives and friends who mourn her loss.
