On Saturday afternoon as George Shoenberger Fitzhugh, aged four years, a son of Gen. Fitzhugh, of Shoenberger & Co., was riding on a pony at Wilkinsburg, the animal shied, and started on a gallop George was thrown from his seat in the saddle, and his foot catching in the stirup, he was dragged a considerable distance before the pony was caught. His mother, an estimable lady, who witnessed the occurrence, had the sorrowful consolation of having her darling expire in her arms.
