Dorothy Savino, age 81 of Newtown, previously of Seymour and Milford, entered into peaceful rest Thursday, September 3, 2009 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Savino and also the late Joseph Bosco. Mrs. Savino was born February 26, 1928 in Fairfield, daughter of the late Louis and Eva (Lockshire) Hiller. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Dorothy was a retired nurses aide, and was the owner of the former Dottie's Ceramic Studio in Milford. She also formerly worked at Stop and Shop Markets in Seymour and Milford. Dorothy was a member of the Fairfield, Seymour, Milford, and Newtown Senior Centers, and she enjoyed the numerous trips she went on with them. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She leaves her loving family including, two daughters, Donna Marie Gincola of Southington, and Jo-Marie Wendel and her husband, Thomas of Southford; a sister, Florence Chicos of Fairfield; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her brothers, John and Wilson Hiller, and sisters, Eve Savino, Mary Hiller, and Alice Krivensky, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to the American Cancer Society , P.O.
