Mr. Junious Ottie Daigre, age 86 of Winnfield, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
Mr. Daigre, was a native of New Orleans and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was retired from Olincraft and a member of South Winnfield Baptist Church.
Mr. Daigre is the son of the late Henry Oliver Daigre and the late Dora Worsham Daigre. He was also preceded in death by a brother Sam Daigre and a sister Valerie DeRamus.
Mr. Daigre was survived by: his wife of 62 years Gladys M. Daigre; three sons: Wayne Daigre and his wife Velma of Jonesboro; Henry Daigre and wife Vicky of Winnfield; Frank Daigre of Winnfield; Two daughters Diann Austin of Winnfield and Roxie Dunn and husband Glenn of Oakdale, LA; and Seventeen grandchildren and Numerous Great-Grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family in the Southern Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 16th from 5-9PM and on Thursday from 8-10:30AM. Friends may also visit with the family at the South Winfield Baptist Church on Thursday from 11Am until service time. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM in the South Winnfield Baptist Church on Thursday, May 17, 2007 with Bro. Jack Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Duane Austin, Raymond Rollins, Henry Daigre, Billy Daigre, Junious L. Daugre and Wayne Daigre.
