Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, August 30, 2009, Mr. Frank R. Arilotta, 95, husband of the late Juanita Stowe Arilotta.

Mr. Arilotta was born in Calabria, Italy in 1914, then after his birth his family relocated to America in 1921. He was a veteran of the US Navy who enlisted in 1941 and served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Arilotta was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Lions Club. He was a devoted member of St James United Methodist Church and the Beckum Bible Class. Mr. Arilotta attended Jewelry School in North Carolina, moved to Augusta, and began Arilotta Jewelers Service in 1951 in the old Southern Finance Bldg. He moved the business to 8th Street in 1968 until his retirement in 1999. Frank will always be known and be remembered as Augusta's custom jeweler.

Family members include his daughter: Frances A. (Chuck) Faulkner; granddaughters: Frances "Frankie" (Jerry) Howell, Lauren (Chris) Amos; grandson: Charles "Chip" Faulkner; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Bryce Howell, Kylie and Kinsey Amos; sisters: Anne Angioletti and Lucy Miller.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Birchall officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Howell, Chris Amos, Billy Baxter, Bobby Baxter, Hobson Chavous and Trey Chavous. Honorary pallbearers will be the St. James Methodist Men's Club. Interment followed in Westover Memorial Park.
