Yvonne was born to Leopold and Marie Marien Van Lent. She married Dr. Wesley F. Amar on August 7, 1943 at St. Philip Neri Church in Chicago. He passed away on March 4, 1997 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Surviving are one son, Father Mubarak Amar of Peoria; and one daughter, Yvonne (Charles) Frey of Peoria.
She was a graduate of Normal College in Chicago and attended the Art Institute of Chicago.
Yvonne was a Art Teacher for 44 years in the Chicago Public Schools.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, its Choir and its Senior's Club. She also was a member of the Peoria Women's Club and Choir.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
