Brenda Pierce, 54, of Floydada died on April 8, 2006 at her residence in Floydada.

Brenda was born on January 18, 1952 in Plainview to Edna Ruth Burch and to the late Babo Davis. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1970.

She married Steve Pierce on June 1, 1973 in Plainview. She moved from Plainview to Floydada in 2002.

Brenda was cofounder of Humane Society in Plainview and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was an antique collector and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. Brenda loved working in the yard.

She is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Pierce; her mother, Edna Ruth Burch; a son, Steven Cole Pierce of San Angelo; a daughter, Hayley Lorrain Pierce of Floydada; a sister, Darla Jones of Houston.

Memorial services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Moore-Rose-White Memorial Chapel with Brother Joe Weldon officiating. Burial was at the Floyd County Memorial Park under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.
