A funeral service for Philip Williams Jr., of the University of Virginia Department of English, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Woodstock, his family home.

Interment will follow in Massanutten Cemetery, Woodstock.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. Philip Williams, of Washington, three sisters, Mrs. J.G. Adams, of Washington, Mrs. William Erlich, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., and WAC Lieutenant Sara Williams, of Camp McClellan, Ala., and two brothers, Lieutenant John Williams, of the United States Navy, Madrid, Spain, and Private William T. Williams, of the United States Army, Fort Hauchuca, Ariz.
