Elva Lois "Lois" Wimbeley was born on March 27, 1911, in Llano County, Texas, to George Pleasanton Wimberley and his wife Effie Spurlin Wimberley. Lois was the granddaughter of Isaac Jackson Wimberley and Texana Bell Mayes Wimberley. She was the great-granddaughter of Pleasant Wimberley and Amanda Julian Jackson Wimberley.

When she was approximatley 17, Lois married Felix Blair. The couple had a daughter named Evelyn Ruth Blair in 1929 in Uvalde County, Texas.

Lois died on March 19, 1936, in Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico. Her body was brought back to Uvalde Cemetery for burial. Lois was the second of George and Effie's children to die. Her sister Allie had died at the age of five in 1930. When George died in 1966 and Effie died in 1981, they were buried not far from Lois's and Allie's graves.
