Mrs. Gillen had been a patient at the hospital the past week.
She was born Oct. 14, 1895 at Easton, the daughter of Thomas and Emma Caulk Langley. She married James Gillen May 4. 1916, at Topeka. He died Jan. 20. 1962.
The couple came to Leavenworth in 1946 from Easton and lived here since then. Mrs. Gillen was a member of the First Christian Church. the Christian Women Fellowship of the church and the Bethel Bible Club.
Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Prudence Logan, Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Virginia Thomas, 1305 Randolph, Mrs. Winona Christ, 1010 Spruce, and Mrs. Dorcas Mussett, Littleton, Colo.; a brother. John M. Langley, Topeka; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be is Langley Cemetery, Easton.
