John Youart, City Fireman 26 Years, Dies In Dallas
John R. Youart, 67, for more than 26 years a member of the El Paso fire department, died Friday in Dallas, it was announced here yesterday.
Mr. Youart, who had been superintendent of fire alarms since the old steamer type of fire apparatus went out of use, had been ill several months. He had been on sick leave since February 12.
The body, accompanied by his daughter Mrs. Ruth Lee of El Paso, and a brother, who resides in Dallas, will arrive from Dallas at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon. He is survived by another brother, who resides in Kansas City, and two sons, Carl Youart of Los Angeles, and J. Earl Youart, Canal Zone.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Peak-Hagedon.
