Mary Louise Owen,61,Hardy,died Dec.26,1999 at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, Superior.
She was born July 18,1938,on a farm south of Hardy in Republic County, the daughter of Carl Zelephade Owen and Wilma Faye (Powell) Owen.
She attended Brethren Junior College, McPherson, for two years and received a degree in home economics from Kansas Wesleyan College,Salina. After her formal schooling she came back to the farm where she and her parents farmed and raised cattle and hogs.
Mary was preceded in death by her father on Feb. 3,1997.
She is survived by her mother: an uncle, Morgan Powell; 10 aunts, Winifred La Barge, Dorothy Crist, Hazel Chaput, Grace Patenaude, Gladys Murray,Reva Chaput,Clara Stringham,LaDonna Peterson, Phyllis Morgoson and Joan Adair and many cousins.

Services were Wednesday at Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel,
Superior, with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating. Interment was in Rosemound Cemetery south of Hardy.
