H.H. Carter, 78, died at his home on Locust hill early today. He had been ill for several months and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. F.L. Chrisley. Funeral services will be held from Mrs. Christley's home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. C.A. Powell officiating. Interment will be at Dora Cemetery. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Chrisley, Mrs. Charles Harrell, of Baltimore; Miss Ada Carter, of Radford, and Miss Mildred Carter, of Richmond; three sons, Lincoln, of Pulaski; Preston, of Baltimore; and Nelson, of Hiwassee and four grandchildren.
