She was born in Rutherford County to the late Lee and Willie Daily Dobbins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Johnny Armstrong; three sisters, Lillian Hawkins, Betty Eggers, and Carolyn Humphries, and a granddaughter, Jordan Armstrong.
She worked as a secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta. Leslie liked to read and crochet. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
