Mrs. O. Kinkade Funeral, Today
Kiester -- Funeral services were held this Tuesday morning at Grace EUB church for Mrs. Oscar C. (Lettie) Kinkade, 83, who died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1964.
A resident of Kiester since 1931, Mrs. Kinkade had resided for some time at the Engebretson Home, where she died. She had been ill for several months with Parkinsons Disease.
Born Sept. 22, 1880, she was the daughter of James and Sally Ann Hicklin, then living at Old Springfield, Iowa.
She was married to Oscar C. Kinkade March 6, 1907, at Rose Hill. He died June 21, 1941.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Zoe) Godfrey, and two sons, Clark, Kiester; and Donald, Waseca. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive.
A sister, Mrs. Henry Van Patten, What Cheer, Iowa, and a brother, Sam Hicklin, New Sharon, Iowa also survive Mrs. Kinkade.
Mrs. Kinkade was a member of the Kiester EUB church, of the Women's Society of World Service and a sewing circle of the church.
The Rev. Donald H. Mielke officiated at services. Burial was at the Wymore cemetery, Rose Hill, Iowa.
