"Services held Monday for Nicholas DeGraff, 89, who died on Jan. 4. Nicholas De Graff, Fond du Lac, died in St. Agnes hospital Friday morning, Jan. 4, where he had been a patient for three days.
He was born Dec. 7, 1867, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John De Graff of the Netherlands. He came to this country in his youth and married Mina Wilderman.
Following her death he married Mrs. Nellie Nummerdor who preceded him in death in 1945.
His entire life was spent farming in this community. Survivors are three sons and three daughters, Peter of Waupun, Tony of Milwaukee, Henry of California, Mrs. Ernest Kumber of Waupun, Mrs. Harriet McCabe of Ripon, and Mrs. Melvin Broadway of Fond du Lac, two brothers, one sister, 32 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:15 p.m. from Kohls and Giebink Funeral home and at 2 from the Christian Reformed church in Alto where he was a member. The Rev. William Alkema officiated and burial was in the Alto cemetery."
