Mrs. J. Passmore
The death of Mrs. Passmore 53. The wife of J. Passmore, West Ferris occurred Thursday in the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Passmore was born in Norland, Ontario where she resided with her parents until 1897 when she came to North Bay. Her maiden name is Edith May Coutmanche. Mrs. J. In addition to teaching a Sunday school class, she interested herself in the work of young people's organizations.
Surviving besides her husband are five sons, Thomas, North Bay, Oliver, Wigwam British Columbia, Bruce and Raymond at home, and Clifford, Welland, and two daughters Mrs. Captain F. Mundy, Lindsay and Mrs. J. Winterburn, Isorland, and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Sunday, May 27.
A brief service will be conducted at the home followed by another at the citadel at 2:45. In the evening a memorial service will be held.
Commandant J. T. Poole will officiate.
Interments will be made in the Terrace Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Passmore laid to rest
The funeral was largely attended
The funeral of the late Mrs. James Passmore whose death occurred in Queen Victoria memorial Hospital on Thursday after a brief illness was held from the family residence, West Ferris on Sunday afternoon to Terrace Lawn cemetery, where interment was made in the family plot.
The funeral was conducted under the auspices of the Salvation Army Corps of which Mrs. Passmore was a valued member. The Reeve and members of West Ferris township council attended.

A brief family service was held at the home at 2:30 by Commandant J. T. Poole. This was followed by a public service at the Salvation Army citadel in the presence of a large assembly of relatives and friends. The ceremony was in charge of Commandant Poole, assisted by officers of the corps, while Sergeant Major W. Soule delivered a brief address on the life of Mrs. Passmore. He told of becoming acquainted with Mrs. Passmore and family members on coming to North Bay eighteen years ago.
Through a friendship that endured during that time, he had learned to admire the deceased for her true Christian character and genial disposition. He paid tribute to her contributions in the interest of the Army Corps in conducting a Sunday school class and in performing other work that entailed the supervision and training of the young members of the corps.
At the conclusion of the service, the cortege again formed under the leadership of the Salvation Army band and proceeded along Main Street to the Cemetery.

Besides the husband, the surviving family members are two daughters Mrs. Capt. F Mundy of Lindsay and Mrs. J Winterburn, Head Lake, 5 sons, Thomas of North Bay, Raymond and Bruce at home, Clifford, Welland and Oliver, Wigwam, B.C., and 8 grandchildren.
A. Courtemanche, Norland, a brother is the only surviving immediate relative. Other relatives attending the funeral were Captured F. Mundy of the Salvation Army, Lindsay, Mrs. Al. New, Widdifield, and Miss Vivian Cops, Moncton, NB.
