Born in York, on May 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Luther L. and Pauline (Klinedinst) Lehr.
Mildred was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, York, and the West Manchester V.F.W. 7374 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was the wife of Richard G. Hoofnagle, who died in February 23, 1999, and is survived by two sons, Richard G. Hoofnagle, Jr. of Lebanon, and Scott L. Hoofnagle and wife, Beverly of Spring Grove; three grandchildren, Tracy L. Worley and husband, Steve, Eric S. Hoofnagle, and Chad M. Hoofnagle; two great-granddaughters; and two sisters, Madelyn Thompson and Helen Diehl, both of York.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine Routson, Mary Ashton, Dorothy Warner, and Pauline Giambalvo.
