MOLALLA -- Frances Kay Brainard, 35, resident of 9914 N. Syracuse St., Portland, died in a Portland hospital Wednesday of cancer.
Mrs. Brainard was born in Salem on Oct. 17, 1936 and attended Molalla schools. She graduated from Molalla High School in 1954. She worked in the Portland Public Library prior to her marriage on August 7, 1956 in Portland, to Lloyd D. Brainard.
She was a member of the Mulino Community Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; three daughters, Debbie, Allison and Carol; and a son, Byron, all at home; a foster-sister, Esther Fredericks, Ridgefield, Wash.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gambell, Mulino.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Molalla Chapel of Everhart and Kent,. Private internment will be at a later date in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.
