She was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Clinton, the daughter of Charles Elmer and Katie Fletcher Ropp. She married Fred Holliday in 1945; he preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Holliday was a resident of Springfield since 1940 and was a clerk in the secretary of state's office licensing division. She also had been employed at Goodwill. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, AARP, served as a volunteer at Sangamon Towers and played kazooka with the Sangamon Towers Kitchen Band.
