MONTROSE HERALD - November 1986

Felix Donelan, son of James and Agnes (Healy) Donelan, was born January 26, 1903 near Montrose, South Dakota. He grew up in the Montrose area and on June 28, 1926 he married Mary Elizabeth (Bessie) McCabe in Montrose. Felix farmed in the Montrose area until 1969 when he retired and moved into Montrose. He died at his apartment on Friday, November 7, 1986 having reached the age of 83 years, 9 months and 11 days. Felix was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Montrose.
He is survived by three sons; four daughters, 25 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers Gerald of Montrose and William of Sioux Falls; and one sister; Margaret Kuper of Canisota. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife in 1980, one son, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Mass will begin at 10:30 A.M., Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Montrose. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A scripture service will begin at 7:30 P.M. today in the church. Kinzley Funeral Home, Salem is in charge of arrangements.
