On May 29th, 1888 she was united in marriage with William Otis Thompson of near Bonaparte and they established their home in the old Thompson homestead south of Bonaparte. With the exception of one year in Missouri they have always made their home in Van Buren county, Iowa.
To this union were born four children Lela (Von Seggen), Ethel (king), Virgie (Allen), and Grace (McNamar.)
In her girlhood days she gave her emery to God and later she became the charter member of the Church of the Nazarene at Farmington where she held membership until her passing away. Her greatest joys were her home and family and in the body of the scriptures.
She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband, W.O. Thompson of Bonaparte; her four daughters; also nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, one nephew and a host of other relatives and Friends.
Funeral services were held from the home on Monday afternoon at 2:00 with the Rev. C. C.
