Services for Junius Samuel Barham will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Murrell officiating.

Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery with military honors with McClain-Hays Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Barham, 84, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS.

He was a native of Neshoba County and after retiring from Esco Corporation in Newton he returned back to his home place in Neshoba County.

Mr. Barham was a member of Philadelphia Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II serving aboard the USS BILOXI and he was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include daughters, Anita Hatten and husband, Dewey of Purvis, Donna Poole and husband, Kenneth of Newton and Ginger Lockley and husband, Steve of Philadelphia; sons, Sam Barham and wife, Elaine of Zachary, LA, Greg Barham and wife, Nancy of Grapeland, TX and Alan Barham of Decatur; stepdaughters, Sylvia Smith and husband, Wilson, of Grenada, Carol Hagan and husband, Kenneth of Little Rock, Becky Lee and husband, John of Montgomery, AL, Teresa Moore and husband, David of Lucas, TX; stepsons, Bobbie Parker and wife, Rise' of Ocean Springs, David Parker and wife, Diane of Biloxi and Joel Parker and wife, Kathy of Lucas, TX; 29 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Gwendol Barham of Decatur and sister, Christine Reed of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Tommie Fulton Barham and his second wife of 24 years, Dorothty Parker Barham; stepdaughter, Donna Capdepon and grandson, Eric Barham. Pallbearers will be Vince Hatten, Chris Hatten, Micheal Poole, Todd Barham, Tyler Hagan anad Dean Bavetta.
