Sylvia was born 1919 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to Francis Marion Watts and Rosetta Box. She married Norbin Lee September 2, 1939 in Salisaw, Oklahoma. Sylvia later moved with Norbin to California when he joined the Navy. After Norbin's death, Sylvia moved to Santa Cruz County where she lived with Raymond waltrip for nearly 30 years. She retired from Smucker's cannery in Pajaro, CA. Sylvia was the mother of Jerry Wayne Bethany, Marrion Lee Bethany, Orbie Bethany, Carolyn Joyce Bethany, Geneva Bethany, and Bettie Lou Bethany. She was proceeded in death by her brother Trebber Watts who passed away 2007 in Arizona. She is buried at Valley Cemetery next to her long time partner Raymond Waltrip.
