Ida Wiikman was born 10 Oct. 1874 in Kivijarvi, Vaasa, Finland, to Henrik Rosenström and Sofia Wilhelmina Kinnunen. She came to Michigan in 1902, entering the U.S. through Ellis Island. In 1908 she married Julius Wiikman in Hancock, MI, although both resided in Rockland at the time. They later moved to Greenland, MI, where she resided for 24 years, until her death in 1935.
She and her husband had at least six children, only four of who survived to adulthood.
