Giles was my Great-Great-Grandfather. He was the son of Giles Connell and Jane Tinsley of Spartanburg, South Carolina, who were with the earliest settlers of Robertson County, Tennessee in the early 1790s.
On Jan 21, 1832 he married Catherine "Kitty" Tinnin, daughter of Lemuel Tinnin and Elizabeth Walton. Giles and Kitty had five children; Elizabeth (Davis), Lemuel T, Mary Zelicka (England), Thomas Oliver, and Kate Walton (England).
