WASHINGTON D. C.-Mrs. Jeannette Steck Coyner, 89, widow of Camden L. Coyner, died Wednesday at the National Lutheran Home in the District of Columbia.
Born Aug. 8, 1883, she was the daughter of the late the Rev. Dr. Charles F. and Florence Jones Steck. She had resided in the National Lutheran Home for the last six years and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Percy Sherwood of Falls Church, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, the Rev. C. F. Steck Jr.,. preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of the National Lutheran Home, conducted by the Rev. George E. Handley of Grace Church and the Rev. Richard D. Reichard, assistant pastor-superintendent of the home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro at 2:30 p.m. Friday, conducted by Vicar Thomas B. Smith of Grace Church.
The family will meet friends following the burial in the library-parlor of Grace Church, S. Wayne Ave. at Thirteenth St.
The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to the National Lutheran Home. The tributes may be sent in care of Grace Church for transmittal to the home.
