Smoaks - Walter W. Myers, 71, died Saturday in the Colleton County Hospital. The funeral will be 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the Ott Funeral Home Chapel in Branchville. Burial will be with Masonic rites in the Tabernacle Cemetery near Smoaks. Mr. Myers was born in Bamberg County, a son of the late Alexander Rodney Myers and Emma Smoak Myers. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Woodmen of the World, the Smoaks Masonic Lodge No. 231, and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Clara M. Myers of Smoaks, four daughters, Mrs. Mary Richison of Clemson, Mrs. Lucile Breland of Walterboro, Mrs. Jessie Overend of East Point, Ga. and Mrs. Francis Beach of Walterboro; two sons, Vernon Myers of Lakeland, Fla. and Calbern Myers of Walterboro; one brother, Rodney Myers of Smoaks, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Ramsey of Tillman and Mrs. Walter Lyons of Smoaks; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
