Graveside services were held at 2:30 P.M. last Friday October 12th,at Mount Vernon Cemetery,Hillsboro. Donald H. Setzer,age 49 of Round Lake,Illinois.Hillsboro native who died Monday of last week,October 8,1979 as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident on Route 134 and Harrison Rd.,Round Lake.
The Rev. Donald Ehler,Pastor,First Congregational Church of Hillsboro officiated at the gravesite rites.
Services at Round Lake were at 8P.M.,Thursday October 11,at Strang Funeral Chapel 410 Belvidere Rd.Grayslake,Illinois. Rev. Lyle J. Kauffman,Pastor Calvary Presbyterian Church Round Lake Illinois officiating.Visitation was from 5P.M.to9P.M. on Thursday.
The deceased was born in Hillsboro April 7,1930 the son of Emery and Wynona Totten Setzer. He grew to adulthood in Hillsboro and attended the Hillsboro schools.
In 1949 he married his first wife Beverly Wood,in 1972 he married Maggie Faltman.
In this area he farmed, operated a Feed Mobile and worked for the Hillsboro Farmer's Co Op.
He made his present home in Round Lake,Illinois in 1964 and had been there since. He had been employeed by the Grayslake Gelatin Company,as a foreman for more than 14 years.
(Note:In 1960 the farms on which five generations of Setzer's had lived were sold. This branch of the family began to scatter to different parts of the country.)
