Mrs. Marguerite Foster, 83, of Pine Mountain died Friday, June 1, 2007 at Hospice LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007, at First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain with Rev. Wayne Holloway officiating assisted by Rev. Albert Askew, Rev. Murray Edwards and Rev. Ellen Edwards. Interment will be in Pine Mountain Cemetery with Pope Davis, Joe Manning, Richard Beall, Brennon Williams, Bill Goodwin and Errol Myhand serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Askew was born November 6, 1923 in Appomattox Co., VA the daughter of Dr. Harley Banner Foster and Marguerite Kinney Foster. She had lived here since 1940 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain, where she was the former choir director and active in many areas of youth ministry within the church. Mrs. Askew is survived by her husband of 65 years, Mr. Ken Askew; two daughters, Ellen Edwards and her husband Murray of McDonough, Sally Mir and her husband Carlos of Winston-Salem, NC; one son, Jeff Askew and his wife Liz of Brandon, MS; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton, GA in charge of arrangements.
